Speakers:

Norma Cruz: She is a defender of the rights of women and Director of the Women’s Survivor’s Association. In June of 2005 she became a nominee for the Nobel Peace Price for her work in Defense of women’s human rights in Guatemala.

Nery Rodenas: Executive Director of the Archdioceses’ Human Rights Office in Guatemala, he has conducted a series of studies looking at the Interamerican system for the protection of human rights.


Abel Nunez: Originally from El Salvador, he is Associate Director of Centro Romero, a Chicago based community organization dedicated to working with immigrant families, he has worked with the Latino Rights Task Force and directed the Central American Resource Center (CARECEN) en Washington DC.
